Sticky Sweet “Honey” Glaze

I've made it my mission to try to support and hype up as much of our local BC businesses as possible, and now that we are in a full blown trade war with the US, it's become more important than ever to Buy Canadian.
Here's a product I've been loving for quite a long time now: it's a vegan honey product that's made from apples, not bees. Bee Mindful Hunnie has two products: a regular "honey" and a "hot honey." I've gone through about 3 jars of the hot stuff so far, it's great on, ohhhh pretty much everything.
- Drizzle it on pizza after it comes out of the oven, before serving
- Use it in cocktails/mocktails (spicy margs, anyone??)
- Drizzle it on ice cream
- Add it to your vinaigrettes or salad dressings
- Include it on your charcuterie boards (hot "honey" with brie or vegan brie? Amazing)
- Mix with vegan mayo and slather it on your veggie burgers
- Add it to your melted butter to drizzle on popcorn
- Make this Sticky Sweet "Honey" Glaze for your tofu or your soy curls 👇

Sweet Sticky "Honey" Glaze
This sweet, sticky, spicy glaze is gonna be your bff this summer! It gets its sweetness and heat from Bee Mindful Hunnie, a vegan honey substitute made from upcycled apples.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup BeeMindful Hunnie
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp apple cider or rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp fresh grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- pinch of pepper
Instructions
- Into a small saucepan, measure out the "honey," mustard, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, paprika and pepper. Whisk well to combine.
- Place on the stove over low heat and continue stirring occasionally. As it comes up to the boil, it will begin to thicken a little. Don't allow it to boil, turn down the heat when it gets to that point. After it thickens up a bit, remove from the heat.
- Here, I airfried an entire block of tofu, and after, I dumped the tofu into a bowl, and then added the glaze and tossed everything together well to coat the tofu.
