Sweet Sticky "Honey" Glaze
Rebecca Coleman
This sweet, sticky, spicy glaze is gonna be your bff this summer! It gets its sweetness and heat from Bee Mindful Hunnie, a vegan honey substitute made from upcycled apples.

Cuisine Canadian
- 1/2 cup BeeMindful Hunnie
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp apple cider or rice wine vinegar
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp fresh grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- pinch of pepper
Into a small saucepan, measure out the "honey," mustard, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, paprika and pepper. Whisk well to combine.
Place on the stove over low heat and continue stirring occasionally. As it comes up to the boil, it will begin to thicken a little. Don't allow it to boil, turn down the heat when it gets to that point. After it thickens up a bit, remove from the heat.
Here, I airfried an entire block of tofu, and after, I dumped the tofu into a bowl, and then added the glaze and tossed everything together well to coat the tofu.
