1cupgood quality sea saltI'm using Vancouver Island Sea Salt
1head garlic
1/2cup fresh rosemary
1/2cup fresh sage
Instructions
Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
Wash your herbs well and spin or pat dry.
Strip the actual leaves from the stems and discard the stems.
Peel the garlic cloves.
In the bowl of a blender or food processor, place the herbs and the garlic, along with a 1/4 cup of the salt. Whiz everything well together until it becomes a fine, sandy consistency.
Dump the contents out into a bowl and add the rest of the salt. Using your hands, scrunch it all together until it's well mixed.
Spread your salt out onto a baking sheet, and bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Remove, stir well, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to stand until completely cooled. It should be dried enough by now that you can scoop it into individual containers.
